Welcome to Minster Abbey and the Daughter Church of St Peter's, Halfway, on the
Isle of Sheppey, Kent

Along with St. Peter’s Halfway we want to serve the whole of our community. Our aspiration is to be welcoming, relevant and responsive. A Christian community has been present on the site of the Abbey for over 1300 years. We want to continue in that tradition of worship, prayer, teaching and in other practical ways seeking to express the love of God to others.

Our tradition and heart's desire is to try to be a church that welcomes everyone.
We want to be … a place of spiritual life, a place where people can cry and share their pain, a place of laughter, a place of healing and joy and fun, a place where the young and the elderly all feel at home and know they are special, a place to meet with God and come to know Him better, a place to find peace and real friendship, a place to pray and be loved.

Come and test us out, we will probably fail in some ways to live up to our aspirations, but we have a vision. Your presence will add something special and we would love you to feel part of our family.

Revd Canon Arthur Houston
